The TRA enquiry line will be closed Monday 27th January 2025 (Australian Day – public holiday) and resume operations at 10:00am (AEDST), Tuesday 28th January 2025. TRA will also be closed Thursday 30 January 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (AEST). In the meantime, please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) and updated processing times on the TRA website as this may have the answer to your query.
From 31 July 2024, TRA removed the mandatory OSAP assessment requirements for specified construction occupations/country of passport combinations for applicants with a relevant qualification, so they can undertake a cheaper and simpler MSA assessment instead.
